The Al-Qassam Brigades and the Al-Quds Brigades handed over three Israeli prisoners, including two of American and Russian nationality, to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), east of Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, on Saturday.

This was part of the sixth batch of exchanges under the first phase of the ceasefire agreement that took effect on 19 January.

The handover ceremony began with the arrival of a black Israeli vehicle carrying the three Israeli prisoners to the handover site, as Anadolu correspondent reported that this vehicle was seized by Al-Qassam on 7 October 2023.

Before the handover began, a Qassam representative and an International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) official signed the handover protocol after the latter checked the names.
