Iran suspends flights to Lebanon until February 18 due to security measures

The head of the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization, Hossein Pourfazaneh, stated on Sunday that flights to Lebanon would be suspended until February 18 due to the security situation at Beirut airport.
In this regard, Pourfazaneh clarified that Lebanon requested the suspension of Iranian flights due to the current security conditions.
This comes after the Lebanese Directorate of Civil Aviation announced changes to the schedules of some flights, including those coming from Iran, in order to implement additional security measures.
Beirut airport had witnessed chaos following protests by Hezbollah supporters over the prevention of an Iranian plane from taking off.
