Russian Strikes Destroy Thermal Power Plant in Mykolaiv, Leaving Thousands Without Heating

Russian airstrikes have caused significant damage to a thermal power plant in the city of Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine, resulting in 46,000 consumers losing heating as temperatures drop below freezing, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

Shmyhal confirmed that this attack was intended to create a humanitarian disaster.

In related news, French President Emmanuel Macron will hold an emergency meeting in Paris tomorrow, Monday, to discuss the war between Russia and Ukraine.

At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the attack affected approximately 100,000 people in the city.
