On Sunday, the Syrian Ministry of Interior announced the death of a woman and the injury of two security personnel after an armed attack on a night patrol in Latakia.

The ministry reported that assailants on a motorcycle targeted a patrol at Al-Azhari roundabout.

This incident coincides with the visit of transitional government head Ahmad al-Shara to Latakia, marking his first visit since taking office.
