Costa Rica announced on Monday that it has agreed to take in foreign migrants deported from the United States, following in the footsteps of neighbours Panama and Guatemala in a move that is part of US President Donald Trump’s efforts to deport undocumented migrants from his country
. “The Costa Rican government has agreed to cooperate with the United States to repatriate 200 irregular migrants,” the presidency said in a statement, adding that the migrants to be expelled from the United States hail from Central Asia and India.
