Egypt postpones emergency Arab summit on Gaza until March 4

Egypt postponed an emergency Arab summit to counter US President Donald Trump’s proposal to remove the Palestinian population from the Gaza Strip and take control of the land.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Tuesday that the summit would be held in Cairo on March to allow for more “logistical and substantive preparations.”

She added: “The new date was set after coordination with the Kingdom of Bahrain, President of the current session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level, and in consultation with Arab States.”
