French President Emmanuel Macron will meet with several European leaders in Paris today to discuss the Ukraine-Russia war.
Macron said that the Ukraine summit, held in Paris on Monday, was an important step to discuss future actions on the war and that he did not aim to take a position on the steps taken by the United States.
The French president noted that he had a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump before and after the summit.
Macron expressed his belief that the US is not seeking to withdraw from the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO).
Macron claimed that Trump might be able to resume a useful dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
