One person was killed and others were injured in an Israeli shelling east of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday evening, according to the Palestinian news agency “Wafa.”

Medical sources reported that an Israeli drone targeted several residents in the Shouka area, resulting in the death of a Palestinian and injuries to others.

Earlier on Wednesday morning, a child was killed by Israeli occupation forces in the airport area east of Rafah.

These developments come amid a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of hostages and prisoners between the Israeli occupation and Hamas, with Hamas announcing that it would hand over four bodies of Israeli hostages on Thursday as part of the exchange deal.
