The G-20 Foreign Ministers’ meeting hosted by Johannesburg, South Africa, will begin on Thursday over two days under the theme “Solidarity, Equality and Sustainable Development”.
This is the first time that a G-20 meeting has been held on the African continent, with the participation of a number of foreign ministers and officials of the group’s member states, including the Russian foreign minister and the Saudi foreign minister.
The meeting discusses ways to increase funding for assisting developing countries’ transition to clean and renewable sources of energy, food security, global economic challenges and international cooperation.
