The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Friday the names of six Israeli prisoners it intends to release on Saturday, as part of the seventh batch of exchanges under the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement that took effect on 19 January.
Abu Obeida said the prisoners to be released were Elijah Maimon, Yitzhak Cohen, Omar Shem Tov, Omer Finkert, Tal Shoham, Avera Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed.

On Thursday, Hamas handed over the bodies of four Israeli prisoners, including two children, Ariel and Kfir Bibas, and their mother, Sherry Bibas, but Israel later announced that the body was not Bibas.

Earlier today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: ‘Hamas handed Israel the body of a Gaza woman, not hostage Sherry Bibas.
