Riyadh Humanitarian Forum kicks off with more than 150 international organisations in attendance

The fourth edition of the Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum, organised by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, kicked off in the Saudi capital on Monday under the theme “Exploring the Future of Humanitarian Response”

KSrelief spokesman Samer al-Jatili said the forum had attracted more than 6,000 participants and more than 150 international organisations and 300 international representatives.

The opening ceremony witnessed the signing of a number of agreements between KSrelief and the Humanitarian Aid Centre and a number of relevant organisations, including an agreement between Saudi Arabia and the World Health Organisation (WHO) to support the $500 million Global Polio Eradication Initiative, a $200 million agreement between the Centre and UNICEF.
