More Than 46 Killed in Sudanese Military Plane Crash in Residential Area

A plane belonging to the Sudanese military crashed yesterday in a residential area near the Wadi Sidna airbase in Omdurman, resulting in the death of more than 46 people, including both military personnel and civilians.
Military sources stated that the incident was likely caused by a technical malfunction, with among the victims being Major General Bahr Ahmed, one of the prominent military leaders who led several military operations in the capital, Khartoum.
The military also confirmed in a statement the death of several soldiers and civilians, but did not provide further details.
