Russian Security Council Secretary Arrives in China to Boost Strategic Ties

The Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergey Shoigu, has arrived in China on an official visit aimed at strengthening strategic cooperation between the two countries. During his one-day visit, Shoigu is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Foreign Minister Wang Yi. This visit follows a previous meeting between the Chinese and Russian presidents, during which Xi Jinping praised Russia’s efforts to defuse the Ukrainian crisis.

The upcoming talks aim to enhance bilateral relations and discuss security issues of mutual interest, including coordination on international policies and cooperation in defense sectors. It is noteworthy that relations between Moscow and Beijing have seen significant rapprochement in recent years, with increased economic and military collaboration between the two sides.

This visit comes at a time of escalating international tensions, making coordination between Russia and China particularly important for maintaining regional and global stability.
