Russia says it shot down 48 Ukrainian drones

The Russian defence ministry announced today that its air defence systems had destroyed 48 Ukrainian drones overnight.

The ministry said in a statement that 21 drones were destroyed over the territory of Tver province, 11 over Crimea, 5 over Bryansk province, 3 over Belgorod and Rostov provinces, 2 over Smolensk and Lipetsk provinces and 1 over Kursk province.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials said Russian drones bombed a medical facility and other targets in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city, late on Friday, injuring at least five people.
