Egypt announced on Sunday the completion of a plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, emphasizing its rejection of the use of starvation as a weapon in the region.
This announcement was made during a joint press conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Atti and European Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Šuica.
Abdel Atti explained that the plan will be presented at the emergency Arab summit next Tuesday and will not be presented to any foreign party before its approval.
He also confirmed Egypt’s ongoing efforts to initiate negotiations for the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.
