On Tuesday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced that Arab leaders at the emergency Arab summit in Cairo had approved a plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, ensuring that its residents stay on their land.
At the conclusion of the summit, Sisi explained that the plan, developed by Egypt, includes the formation of an independent committee to oversee the sector’s management.
Meanwhile, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit emphasized that the summit’s objective was to affirm the Arab rejection of Palestinian displacement, adding that the summit had approved a phased plan for Gaza’s reconstruction.
