The FIFA Council meeting in Zurich announced the dates for two major tournaments to be hosted by Qatar later this year.
The 2025 Arab Cup will kick off on December 1st and conclude on December 18th, coinciding with the country’s National Day celebrations, while the U-17 World Cup will take place in Qatar from November 3rd to 27th, 2025.
Qatar will host the Arab Cup for the second time, with 16 teams participating, while the U-17 World Cup will feature 48 teams for the first time in FIFA’s history and will run for 25 days. These tournaments offer a great opportunity to discover emerging football talents.
Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Minister of Sports and Youth, confirmed that hosting both tournaments reflects Qatar’s commitment to providing unique sports and cultural experiences for fans, emphasizing that these events will serve as platforms for cultural exchange and strengthening bonds between nations.
