France pledges to provide military intelligence to Ukraine

France is providing military intelligence to Ukraine, French Army Minister Sébastien Locorno said on Thursday, after Washington announced on Wednesday that it was freezing intelligence sharing with Kiev.

‘Our intelligence is sovereign and it took a long time to strengthen it in recent years, but the advantage is that we did it on the basis of our own capabilities,’ Locorno told France Inter radio. So, yes, we have intelligence resources that we make available to the Ukrainians.

Washington announced the suspension of its military aid to Ukraine on Wednesday, amid a remarkable rapprochement with the Kremlin since Trump’s lengthy phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on 12 February.
