Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein announced on Thursday that the next Arab summit will be held in Baghdad on 17 May.
Hussein chaired the 12th preparatory meeting for the summit in Baghdad, which was attended by Secretary General of the Iraqi Council of Ministers Hamid al-Ghazi, Mayor of Baghdad Ammar Musa Kazim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Nayef Rashid al-Dulaimi, and officials from relevant ministries and sectors, the Foreign Ministry’s media office said.
The latest preparations for the summit were reviewed and the reports submitted by the specialised committees were discussed, including logistical, technical and organisational preparations,” the office said in a statement.
