A delegation from Hamas, led by Muhammad Darwish, has arrived in Cairo to discuss the ceasefire with the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, according to a movement official.

The Egyptian General Authority for Information confirmed that the delegation aims to discuss implementing the ceasefire agreement and advance negotiations to the second phase.

Hamas warned of the danger of hostages being killed if the Israeli army resumed combat in the Gaza Strip. The first phase of the ceasefire and the exchange of hostages and prisoners in Gaza ended last Saturday.

In contrast, the occupation continues to refuse to initiate the second phase and has repeatedly threatened to resume the war.
