The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, affirmed the council’s support for Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara during the seventh joint ministerial meeting in Mecca.

He praised UN Security Council Resolution 2756, considering the meeting an important step to enhance the strategic partnership between the council and Morocco.
