Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Thursday that he will visit Saudi Arabia on Monday, where he is scheduled to meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Zelensky stated that his team will remain in Saudi Arabia after his departure to work with American partners, emphasizing that Ukraine is more interested in achieving peace than anything else.
He is expected to discuss with the Saudi Crown Prince the ongoing efforts to end the three-year-long war between Ukraine and Russia. Discussions will also be held on a framework for a peace agreement with U.S. President Joe Biden’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, in Saudi Arabia next week.
This visit comes as part of Ukraine’s international diplomatic efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
