Zelensky Calls for Ceasefire After Heavy Russian Bombardment in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for a ceasefire in the air and sea on Friday following a night of intense Russian shelling targeting energy facilities across the country.

Ukraine reported that Russia launched 58 missiles and at least 194 drones, while the Ukrainian Air Force shot down 34 missiles and 100 drones using French “Mirage” aircraft.

These strikes came after the suspension of U.S. military aid amid tensions between Kyiv and the Trump administration.
