The Syrian General Security Directorate, according to sources close to it, stated that the state of readiness has been raised for the Ministry of Defense and General Security forces across all Syrian provinces.

The same sources also announced a general military mobilization in several areas, as cells linked to the previous regime are preparing to carry out sabotage operations in the provinces of Damascus, its countryside, Homs, Hama, Deir ez-Zor, and the Syrian coast.

In Damascus, significant security reinforcements were seen, with checkpoints set up at the city’s entrances. In Sweida, there was a state of alert among local factions, both pro- and anti-government, following a dispute between “Men of Dignity” and “Al-Hijri Forces.

In Deir ez-Zor, General Security forces came under attack by gunmen targeting checkpoints near Mayadin, resulting in one fatality.
