A large-scale Ukrainian drone attack targeted Moscow and its surrounding areas, killing one person and injuring three others, Russian authorities confirmed early Tuesday.
According to Moscow region governor Andrei Vorobyov, the casualties were reported in Leninsky urban district and Domodedovo, two towns located in Moscow’s southern suburbs.
The attack also caused major disruptions, including the suspension of train services in Domodedovo and a large fire in a parking lot near Moscow.
This assault marks one of the biggest drone offensives on Russian territory since the beginning of the Ukraine war, with dozens of drones deployed.
The attack occurred just hours before scheduled diplomatic talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, between Ukrainian and U.S. officials regarding the war.
