One person was killed on Tuesday in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a civilian vehicle in Aita al-Shaab, southern Lebanon, according to Anadolu Agency.

A security source reported that an Israeli drone launched a missile at the vehicle, resulting in the death of one person whose identity has not yet been confirmed, amid escalating tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border.

This escalation comes as exchanges of fire between the Israeli army and Hezbollah continue, with southern Lebanon witnessing frequent clashes since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza in October last year.

Israel has not officially commented on the incident, but airstrikes in southern Lebanon have intensified in recent weeks, with Tel Aviv claiming they are targeting Hezbollah military positions.
