A source in the government of Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara told foreign media that the government’s progress and recent negotiations have started to positively impact relations with Syria’s Druze communities in areas such as Karmana and Sweida.

The source also explained that the situation in Sweida is improving, and the government considers its residents an integral part of Syria.

He added that recent developments have helped accelerate the reconciliation process, though there are still important issues that need to be discussed, such as political transition and the Druze’s participation in the political process.
