European Parliament: Investigation into Involvement of Assistants to MEPs in Bribery and Corruption Case

On Thursday, Belgian judicial authorities closed two offices belonging to assistants of European Parliament members in connection with alleged bribes from the Chinese technology company Huawei.

The investigation involves the assistant of Italian MEP Marco Falcone from the European People’s Party and the assistant of Bulgarian MEP Nikola Minchev from the Renew Europe group.
