Sudanese Somali Rejects Israeli-American Proposal to Host Gaza Palestinians

The Israeli occupation and the United States discussed with three governments in East Africa the possibility of relocating Palestinians from Gaza to Sudan, Somalia, and the internationally unrecognized Somaliland region.

Reports indicate that Sudanese officials announced their rejection of proposals to use their territory for the resettlement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip as part of the post-war plan proposed by former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Somali Foreign Minister Ahmed Maalim Faqi stated, “We reject any plan that involves using Somali land to resettle other populations… Any proposal from any party that undermines the Palestinian people’s right to live peacefully on their historic land is unacceptable.”

Meanwhile, Somaliland officials denied any knowledge of communications regarding this matter.
