German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, announced the provision of new aid to Syria worth 300 million euros during the Donors’ Conference in Brussels.
In this context, Baerbock stated that more than half of the amount will be allocated to providing food, healthcare services, and shelters for the Syrian people, in addition to supporting Syrian refugees and host communities in Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Turkey.
She also mentioned, in her statement in the Belgian capital, that this support will be provided through the United Nations and humanitarian organizations, excluding the Syrian transitional government.
