Houthis Announce Third Attack on US Aircraft Carrier “USS Harry Truman” in 48 Hours

The Yemeni Houthi group announced early Tuesday that it had carried out a military operation targeting the US aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman for the third time in the past 48 hours.

In a televised statement broadcast by the Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah channel, the group’s military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, claimed that their naval and coastal defense forces launched ballistic and cruise missiles, along with drone strikes, at the aircraft carrier and its accompanying warships in the Red Sea. He described the attack as a response to what he called “continued American aggression against Yemen.”

The US Department of Defense (Pentagon), however, denied that USS Harry Truman had been targeted or damaged, stating that the carrier and its crew remain safe.

This is not the first time the Houthis have claimed to target the USS Harry Truman. In January, the group also announced an attack on the carrier in the Red Sea, but the Pentagon similarly denied any damage or threat to the vessel.
