Macron to Visit Egypt on April 7–8 to Discuss Arab Plan for Gaza Reconstruction

French President Emmanuel Macron announced Thursday evening, during the European Summit in Brussels, that he will pay an official visit to Egypt on April 7 and 8, with a particular focus on discussing the Arab plan for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

Macron stated that the visit aims to enhance coordination with Arab nations regarding mechanisms for supporting Gaza in the post-war phase. He noted that a dedicated working session will be held with Egyptian officials to discuss implementation strategies and regional stabilization efforts.

This visit underscores France’s growing role in supporting regional initiatives, especially in relation to the Middle East and humanitarian recovery in Gaza, where Paris seeks to be a key player in relief and reconstruction efforts.
