The Egyptian capital, Cairo, will host a meeting on Sunday of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee on Gaza, with the participation of the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs.
The meeting is part of a joint Arab-Islamic diplomatic initiative aimed at building a unified international stance to halt the ongoing Israeli offensive, ensure the protection of civilians, and open urgent humanitarian corridors into the besieged Gaza Strip.
Discussions are expected to focus on ways to increase humanitarian and medical aid, as conditions in Gaza continue to deteriorate.
The committee was formed following the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit held in response to the escalating conflict in Gaza and includes foreign ministers from key regional countries
