Israeli Airstrikes Escalate in Gaza: 591 Martyrs and 1,042 Injured

Israeli warplanes continue to carry out airstrikes on the Gaza Strip for the fifth consecutive day, resulting in the martyrdom of 591 Palestinians and injuring 1,042 others, mostly women and children, according to the Gaza government’s media office.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that the Israeli army intends to expand its “ground operations” in the northern and central parts of the strip, alongside ongoing operations in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

In response, the Fatah movement, led by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, called on Hamas to relinquish power to protect the “Palestinian existence” in the strip.
