Algerian President: “Dispute with France is Entirely Fabricated”

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune stated on Saturday that the dispute between Algeria and France is “entirely fabricated,” describing the current situation as “political chaos and noise.”

In his regular media meeting, Tebboune emphasized that French President Emmanuel Macron is the “only reference” in relations between the two countries, stressing the importance of resolving disputes with him or his Foreign Minister.

He noted that Algeria and France are “independent states” working together, adding that visits by French officials to the Moroccan Sahara are “not provocative.”
