Libya Releases Second Batch of Detained Tunisians After Protests from Their Families in Ben Gardane

Tunisian MP Ali Zghdoud confirmed on Sunday that Libyan authorities released a second batch of Tunisians detained on smuggling charges following protests from their families in Ben Gardane.

Zghdoud stated that 12 detainees have entered Tunisian territory, adding that the rest will be released soon.

Additionally, Tunisian Human Rights Observatory President Mustafa Abdelkebir announced that the Libyan public prosecutor authorized the release of 49 detainees, while the release of two individuals was denied for further investigations.
