The Élysée Palace announced Tuesday that French President Emmanuel Macron will host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term is nearing its end, in Paris on Wednesday evening to prepare for a European security summit scheduled for Thursday.
The meeting aims to discuss the latest developments in the Ukraine-Russia conflict and reinforce European support for Kyiv amid continued Russian military operations.
According to the Élysée, the summit will focus on security coordination among European nations and their commitments to regional stability and defense.
Zelensky’s visit comes at a politically sensitive time, as his presidential term concludes without elections due to wartime conditions, raising internal constitutional debates in Ukraine.
