The United States has agreed to help Russia enhance its agricultural and fertilizer exports to the global market in exchange for a maritime security deal in the Black Sea.

The White House, the Kremlin, and Ukraine announced the agreement on Tuesday after US and Russian teams met in Saudi Arabia to carve out a pathway toward peace in Ukraine.

The agreement, announced by the US following talks in Riyadh, could halt fighting in the Black Sea, but Russia has demands first.
