French President Emmanuel Macron pledged an additional €2 billion in military aid for Ukraine during a press conference in Paris on Wednesday evening, ahead of a high-level international summit on Ukraine’s long-term security that began Thursday morning.
The new package includes a range of military equipment, such as Milan anti-tank missiles, Mica missiles for French-made Mirage fighter jets, Mistral air defense missiles, as well as armored vehicles, munitions, and drones.
The announcement came during Macron’s meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Paris as part of the preparations for the “Alliance of Willing” summit, a group of countries ready to provide long-term security guarantees for Ukraine.
