The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday that Foreign Minister Wang Yi will make an official visit to Russia next week.

A spokesperson for the ministry clarified that the visit is at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and will take place from March 31 to April 2.

In recent years, Beijing and Moscow have deepened their economic and diplomatic cooperation, while their strategic partnership has become even stronger following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
