Hamas leader in Gaza, Khalil Hayya, announced the movement’s approval of the Egyptian proposal for a ceasefire.
In his speech for Eid al-Fitr, Hayya emphasized the movement’s commitment to its people and its positive engagement with all offers to achieve its goals.
He revealed that the proposal was received two days ago from Egyptian and Qatari mediators, expressing hope that the Israeli occupation would not hinder these efforts.
Hayya noted that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu had thwarted attempts to reach a comprehensive agreement.
