The Syrian Interior Ministry announced today, Saturday, that the General Security Directorate carried out a precise security operation in the “Al-Waer” neighborhood of Homs, resulting in the raid of a hideout of remnants of the “fallen regime” following reports of suspicious movements in the area.

The ministry stated in a press release that the operation led to the seizure of a quantity of weapons and explosives prepared for carrying out terrorist operations.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Embassy in Syria warned its citizens of an increased risk of attacks during Eid al-Fitr, indicating that such attacks may target embassies, international organizations, and public Syrian institutions in Damascus.
