French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot announced on Sunday a “new phase” in relations with Algeria after talks with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and counterpart Ahmed Attaf.

This move follows a phone call between Tebboune and Macron, who agreed to end the diplomatic crisis.

The visit aims to enhance dialogue on sensitive issues, including immigration.
