King Abdullah II Arrives in Cairo to Join Trilateral Summit with Sisi and Macron

Jordan’s King Abdullah II arrived in Cairo on Monday afternoon, leading a high-level delegation for a short visit to take part in a trilateral summit with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and French President Emmanuel Macron, focused on the latest regional developments.

The summit, held at Al-Ittihadiya Presidential Palace, will primarily address efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and alleviate the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Strip. Discussions will also cover joint coordination to support diplomatic initiatives and reject any attempts to impose new realities on the ground.

King Abdullah’s visit comes as part of an ongoing Arab and international diplomatic push, spearheaded by Jordan, Egypt, and France, aimed at urging the international community to assume its moral and political responsibilities amid the escalating violence in the Palestinian territories.
