Sisi, Macron, and King Abdullah II Call for International Efforts to End Palestinian Suffering

During a trilateral summit in Cairo, the leaders of Egypt, France, and Jordan emphasized the importance of supporting international efforts to end the suffering of the Palestinian people and implement a two-state solution.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Jordanian King Abdullah II called for an immediate return to a ceasefire between the Israeli occupation and Hamas, as well as for international support for a reconstruction plan for Gaza.

They stressed the necessity for governance and security in Gaza to be under the umbrella of the Palestinian National Authority, with strong regional and international backing.

The summit comes amid deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the region and a refusal to accept displacement plans.

This trilateral summit between Paris, Amman, and Cairo follows Egypt’s proposal for the Israeli occupation and Hamas to resume negotiations for a 50-day ceasefire in Gaza.
