China denounced the additional tariffs imposed by the United States on a range of Chinese goods, calling them “unilateral bullying” and affirming its determination to “fight to the end” in defense of its economic and sovereign interests.
In an official statement, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the U.S. measures “violate World Trade Organization rules and undermine global economic stability,” adding that Beijing “will not stand idly by in the face of such provocative actions and will take the necessary steps to protect its legitimate rights and interests.”
The statement emphasized that while China does not seek escalation, it “will not hesitate to respond to any unfair actions and will not succumb to external pressure, no matter how intense.”
These remarks come amid rising tensions between the world’s two largest economies, with growing concerns over a full-scale trade war that could impact global markets.
