Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan affirmed that Turkey will remain committed to supporting Syria in its path toward peace and stability. During a speech delivered in Ankara, Erdogan stated:
“We will always stand by our Syrian brothers whenever needed, and we will fulfill all our responsibilities toward our neighbor Syria.”
He emphasized that Turkey seeks peace and prosperity in Syria just as it does within its own borders.
Erdogan’s remarks come amid heightened tensions inside Syria, where the Transitional Administration has launched extensive security operations and imposed curfews in several governorates, including Damascus, Latakia, and Homs, in efforts to track down remnants of the former regime and prevent unrest.
