Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced on Tuesday,, that she will travel to Washington, D.C., on April 17 for an official visit to discuss U.S. tariffs on the European Union with President Donald Trump.
During a meeting with business representatives, as shared by her office, Meloni voiced support for the European Union’s call for a negotiated resolution to the trade dispute.
“These are negotiations that require everyone’s participation, and I will personally raise the issue with the U.S. President,” she stated.
