The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Wednesday that 20 Palestinians were killed and 50 others injured as a result of ongoing Israeli bombardment targeting areas in eastern Gaza City.
Medical sources reported that several of the wounded are in critical condition, while emergency and civil defense teams continue evacuation and rescue efforts amid intensified military escalation that began at dawn.
Neighborhoods including Shuja’iyya, Al-Zaytoun, and eastern Al-Tuffah witnessed a series of airstrikes and artillery shelling, accompanied by intensive overflights of Israeli warplanes, with direct hits on residential homes and civilian sites.
In response, the Palestinian Authority and resistance factions condemned the attacks, describing them as “a new war crime,” while the United Nations called for an immediate ceasefire and the provision of humanitarian corridors for the wounded and civilians.
