French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Wednesday that his country may recognize the Palestinian state in June.

In an interview with France 5, Macron stated that this decision would be just and not aimed at pleasing any particular party.

He added, “Our goal is to chair a conference with Saudi Arabia in June to achieve mutual recognition of the State of Palestine.”
